Open your Bible to Isaiah 2:5 it says… O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the Lord. Go ahead and highlight that scripture.
God’s intention for every believer is that they continue to mature spiritually as they get to know Him better. God knows how to use you for His kingdom purposes so your life can keep over flowing again and again. His Word is your life, His Word changes you. Scripture says that people will be set free, not by good sermons, but by God’s Truth.
When you are in Christ, the old things pass away. Only the Light of Jesus can do this for you. The darker your life, the greater the need for light. God wants other people to see the Light of Jesus in you. He wants a love relationship with you! His power will flow through you to accomplish His will in a greater way. Darkness will leave you, and you will start walking in the ways of Jesus. Are you a servant of Jesus Christ or a servant of your flesh?
You see, what I’m teaching you today is… when you’re walking in the Light of Jesus, you’re not the same person anymore. You dedicate your life, your heart, your gifts, your time and your mind to Him. The Holy Spirit directs you to follow Jesus! If you’re walking in darkness, He calls urgently and continuously to you to turn around.
Only those who live in Jesus Christ have the Light! You’re going to have to believe He’s inside you and ready to work through you. Hallelujah! You let God’s Word completely take over and change the way you live your life. Yes, fill your spirit with so much Truths of the Bible that you naturally begin to walk in the Light of Jesus.
Those who have experienced a true rebirth can no longer go with the world. Jesus wants to make all things new in you, but you must say YES to Him. I’m talking about commitment to consistent time with God. You turn your eyes away from the world and turn your focus to Jesus.
When you’re walking in the light, the more you want to praise the Lord. The Lord is your life and He is patient with you and kind to you. You’re hungry to know Him better, you’re not the same person anymore.
You’re glad to spend time with God and ask Him to do whatever is necessary in you so you can reach a new place spiritually with Him. How did Jesus live? In obedience to God! It is both the privilege and duty of every Christian to pursue godliness. How? A God-centered lifestyle.
A Christian character that comes from a devotion to God. Here’s a spiritual secret from me to you. You must consistently expose yourself to the teaching of the Word of God if you are to grow in godliness. You’ll recognize the Spirit transforming you more and more into a godly person. The fire of the Holy Spirit begins to shine on you, through you, and around you. Praise the Lord! A Child of the Light walks with God in the Light. Now, raise your hands and say, I’m not the same anymore, I walk with Jesus!
